No Coding with No Code Ninja!
We recently sat down with Richard Eaton (AKA The No Code Ninja!) to understand why they chose to start using no code. Richard has 30+ years of development experience and uses no code to help his clients. He’s used his no code Ninja moves to help start-ups turn their ideas into reality, non-technical founders launch projects and entrepreneurs and companies launch proto-types, MVP’s and fully functional software. And all of this is done faster than ever because of no code.
How did you get into no code?
After years of traditional development, I thought that there had to be a better way than complex technology setups and building similar things over and over again. So, I spent a few months researching and assessing various no code platforms back in 2019. A previous client then approached me as they needed something built quickly which I built using no code (bubble.io). This project was really successful, and I’ve not looked back since!
What’s your opinion on the no code movement?
For years, this kind of thing has been promised in the industry, but platforms were either too simple and limited, or just as complex as traditionally building software. The latest crop of tools has hit the sweet spot of being simple to use, but powerful enough to build almost anything you want.
What do you think are the top benefits of no code?
Speed. I built one project almost single-handedly over 6 months replacing a far inferior product that had taken a whole team of developers over 3 years using traditional development tools.
And how does no code benefit the wider community?
It benefits the wider community because it allows people to get projects up and running that time and budget constraints wouldn’t have allowed them to do otherwise.
Have you worked on a project that is considered an element of tech for good?
Yes, quite a few! I’ve always thought that technology should be used to make a positive impact on the world. I usually choose the projects I work on with this in mind.
What’s your favourite project you’ve worked on?
That’s a tricky one as there are aspects of them all that I’ve really enjoyed. If pressed, then a project that used a smart band to help reunite lost children with their parents/guardians was a highlight. As well as getting me thinking of the best way to achieve a great solution, it really felt like a #techforgood project that could make a real difference in people's lives.
How do you see no code in the metaverse?
A lot of new technologies are great and pretty powerful, but even more so when combined. So, combining technologies such as no code, AI, and the metaverse together is already pretty epic and only going to get better!
