Eco-systems - The Future of Tech Creation?

Dev Talk Eco Systems.png

‘BigTech’ is an emerging term that describes the collection of tech giants, such as Facebook, Amazon, Google, Apple, Microsoft. They are each on a mission to create their own ‘eco-system’, a platform that is designed to support entire industries. The leader of the pack is Amazon, the world’s biggest e-retailer who now owns the world's biggest cloud computing business, Amazon Web Services (AWS). ‘BigTechs’ are building empires, they are amassing control of the ground that start-ups need to survive. Sooner or later every tech start-up will have to conform to their regulations and pay a premium, and have to rely on their rigid platform.

Your options

As a tech start up, you need freedom to grow and develop. The current cartel of ‘BigTech’ giants make this transition no easy feat. The strictly out of the box offering that they provide is great for some, but for those with dreams of becoming something more, they hamper their development. In addition to the limitations found with these offerings, many in the industry fear the difficulty of switching platforms and attempting to change ecosystems.

For some, the highly regimented network of ecosystems is fit for purpose, but they limit the creativity and progression that tech start ups thrive with. Thus, no code is the way forward. The innovative offering is continuously developed to increase the ease of use and options open to users. Many are built with flexibility in mind, meaning tech start-ups can pivot to cope with ever changing markets and environments.

No code’s part to play

The freedom no code affords lends itself to switching platforms and changing foundations, which is vital for a start-up that wants to be able to evolve with changing demands. If this were to be implemented into the ecosystems such as (AWS), start-ups would find themselves in a stronger starting position than those that came before them.

Some may think that no code solutions will become so engrained in an ecosystem, users won't be able to move out and they will have to end up building something bespoke to re-platform. Others may think that no code solutions will make your own offering even more eco-system agnostic - only time will tell!
