Introducing, the No Code Heroes! Each month, we’ll be examining examples of big companies across the world who are experimenting with and successfully implementing no code solutions to across their businesses. These companies are the most forward thinking and innovative in their fields. We’re looking to uncover examples of where companies have pushed the boundaries of no code and shown that the limits are endless.

Zurich

First up in the series is Zurich, the Swiss insurer has been on the Fortune 500 list for 25 years. It employs over 55,000 people and operates in over 215 countries worldwide. This giant of industry has stayed at the height of its game due to the fact they are incredibly in tune with their surroundings. They have used this to their advantage by acting on their market insight, and by being able to react to changes extremely fast.

A Cumbersome CPQ Process

Zurich revolutionised a legacy, slow moving CPQ (configure, price and quote) process with a no code solution. Their example starts with their primary pain point; they were unable to process and quote for insurance premiums quickly and the turnaround was losing them business. The previous system used an Excel sheet for CPQ. This is was slow, manual, and very cumbersome. Using a no-code app development platform, they were able to create a web app that automatically did this for them. It even lowered the manual overhead when they had to add new product lines and update prices, giving them the flexibility to improve their value.

The best part is that they didn’t spend millions of euros on a development team to create a custom solution that could take several years to perfect ready for consumption, and they didn’t even throw away the spreadsheets that they were using. They retained all their data and integrated it into a tool that could be deployed in less than a week.
